Prof. Raheem had his first degree in Veterinary Medicine from University of Ibadan and did his National Youth Service Corps at Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, Enugu State. He was into private veterinary practice in Enugu immediately after the NYSC before he proceeded to his alma matter for a postgraduate programme and was subsequently awarded Master of Veterinary Sciences in Theriogenology in November, 2008. Shortly after, he was employed to start the Theriogenology Unit of Department of Veterinary Surgery and Theriogenology of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in December 2008. Two years after, he received a scholarship from Tertiary Education Trust Fund to pursue a PhD programme at the prestigious The Royal Veterinary College of University of London which was completed in December 2013. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to full Professor of Theriogenology in October 20221. In December 2024, Prof Raheem Kabir Ayobami joined University of Ilorin (Department of Theriogenology & Production). He has about 50 publications in both local and international Journals. He hails from Ibadan North LG of Oyo, happily married and blessed with children.
