Dr Abubakar Musa Imam is a Lecturer in Veterinary Medicine with specialization in Animal Health and Production. He is engaged in undergraduate teaching, research and community development services. Abubakar’s research focus on animal product, sustainable livestock production system and its relationship with human health. He recently won a grant from the Afrique One-REACH (Research Excellence for African Challenges in Health) where he will be examining the roles of livestock systems in mitigating the risk of rural household against emerging threat on human security and climate using the group model building approach. Abubakar received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with distinctions from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State and Master of Science degree in Animal Production from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. Dr Abubakar enjoys travelling, knowing places and meeting people.
